Having read the article, what do you think I meant by “dreaming bigger”?

If you haven't heard it yet, you can listen to it here.

I’d love to hear your thoughts — reply and let me know.

We tend to focus on our dreams for the reasons I mentioned in the article

But if you want to become really clear about what truly lights you up and pulls you into life, you first have to let go of what distorts your perception and fuels the pursuits you are after now.

One of the most useful things you can do is create a small gap between the factors that are driving you and the actions that follow.

When that gap appears, you can start to see what is actually moving you.

If we want to engage more fully with life, we have to practice.

That’s how things begin to shift.

Otherwise we simply continue living on autopilot.

This is not about changing your dreams — it’s about seeing what is driving them.

Every desire is a doorway into the present.

This month we are not following desire — we are studying it.

Here are some practical ways to work with this.

THREE STEPS TO PRACTICE THIS MONTH

1.When you notice yourself wanting something:

  1. Pause

  2. Don’t move toward it yet

  3. Ask: What feeling am I hoping this will give me?

  4. Feel that in the body — now

  5. Wait 10 seconds

Practice this in ordinary moments when you’re:

  • Reaching for your phone

  • Checking for a message

  • Thinking about money

  • Planning the future

  • Wanting recognition

  • Opening the fridge when you’re not hungry

  • Moving toward distraction

2. Course-correction protocol (this one really shifts things)

This is what produces real change. When you notice you acted from an old pattern:

  1. Change the action

  2. Send the honest message

  3. Say what was true

  4. You said no when you meant yes

  5. Correct it

For example, you decline an invitation and later realize you did it because of old imprints in your nervous system.

Call them back and say yes. Or vice versa.

It will feel uncomfortable — this is how old patterns are rewired.

Actually do this one.

3. Once per day: choose one ordinary experience.

Let yourself be fully with it. Relax and let it pass through you completely.

  • Eating

  • Walking

  • Showering

  • Listening to someone

  • Sitting with your coffee

  • Looking out of the window

For the rest of the month answer this question at the end of your day:

How did I try to use the future to influence my presence?

Example:

“I’ll relax once I finish this project.”

“I’ll feel better once they reply.”

When you see what is driving your dreams, you can shift your attention toward something bigger.

A new way of being appears — life becomes about the way you meet each moment fully, and it shifts from “someday” to now, and you are completely here for it.

This is when life becomes bigger than what you dream of.
